What a module includes
Every module combines four elements: a short written explanation, annotated historical images or maps, excerpts from the original ordinance or code text being discussed, and a set of guiding questions meant to be answered while looking at an actual street rather than a screen.
Modules are text-based first. Where useful, they link to digitized archive material so you can go directly to a primary source rather than rely on a secondhand account of it.
Field guide entries, found under the Field Guide section of the site, act as a running glossary that supports every track without repeating definitions inside each module.
